Natural vs synthetic fibers.

Fiber origin is useful product information, but it is not a complete garment conclusion.

Use the declared fiber name

Cotton, linen, wool and silk are commonly grouped as natural. Polyester, polyamide and acrylic are synthetic. Viscose, modal and lyocell are regenerated cellulosic fibers and do not fit a simple two-part split.

Consider the garment

Yarn, weave or knit, weight, finishing, lining and construction affect how a garment behaves. A percentage list alone cannot prove softness, opacity, warmth, recovery, pilling or longevity.

Make preferences personal

If your own wear history shows that a particular material or blend creates discomfort or care friction, record it as your preference or limit rather than a rule for everyone.

Avoid environmental shortcuts

“Natural” or “recycled” alone does not establish the full production process, labor conditions, durability, end of life or total environmental impact. Verify any specific certification or claim separately.
