How to understand material blends.

A blend is a declared percentage list, not a complete formula for feel or performance.

Begin with the largest share

Read the fibers in the order and percentages supplied for the named component. The dominant share is the factual starting point, not a guarantee of a particular result.

Notice smaller additions

A smaller elastane share may be associated with intended stretch, but the label does not prove recovery or fit. Use cautious language and look for construction and measurement information.

Attach the blend to its component

Keep shell, lining, filling and trim separate. The garment must be used and cared for as a whole even when each component has a different list.

Compare complete disclosures

A product with named percentages provides more information than a marketing phrase with no percentages. Keep incomplete retailer descriptions marked as incomplete.
